Hello, My name is Navneet Gill, and I am in my third year at Kwantlen. Im a Sociology major and would like to use this degree towards teaching and or Social Work haven’t really decided that yet… Im currently working as a Customer Service Manager at Walmart. I absolutley love my job and deal with a number of interesting situations and meet alot of unforgettable people.
When entering Kwantlen straight from high school I was unsure of what I had wanted to go into but when I took the Introduction class to Sociology and it really caught my eye and now here I am in my third year. When thinking about Sociology there are many different compounds in which its built upon, but the one which stood out to me was social justice. When I see the word Social Justice I think about things such as minorties, power, the different class structures, and wealth as well as the government in which the societies are based upon. All these topics to me have alot of power and information in which im not fully aware of and would love to go into more detail and get a better understanding when talking about Social Justice
If im not at school the only other place I would be is at the gym or at work. These three things sum upy daily activity along with being out with family and friends and just having fun
